This quilt was a sample for Judy’s Dawn to Dusk class – a gradation with a constant background. It was finished 14 years after Judy pieced the top. The whimsical hand quilting – a spouting whale, the sun, and the words “Sailing, Sailing Over the Ocean Blue” was conceived by quilter Julie Kimberlin. Quilt was started 8/29/1990 and finished 4/12/2004
