Judy included this quilt in many of her lectures. Her notes say “I’m convinced that the best way for quilters to become adept at combining printed fabrics is to make a charm quilt. This one contains 1064 different fabrics, and was made back in the olden days when I only had 300 or so different prints on my shelves. I had to scrabble to get enough different fabrics, and I had to actually use everything I could find. Solving the problems created by having to include some really horrible prints was extremely enlightening! One fabric appears twice in this quilt—something I didn’t notice until I was quilting it. Can you find it? It’s blue.” This quilt appeared in Judy’s books Rotary Roundup
and 101 Fabulous Rotary-Cut Quilts.”
This quilt was exhibited in the Great Alaska Quilts show in 1987. Quilt was started 3/9/1986 and finished 9/8/1987.
