Stars in Strips
Judy’s notes say “This simple star quilt was started in 1992; it spent 11 years as a top, and was finally quilted (but not by me) in 2003. While I love the process of hand quilting, I consider myself “done” when I’ve finished a top; I don’t feel guilty if the tops never get quilted. Perhaps someone else will enjoy finishing them later!” This quilt has had a lot of working titles – “Dawn to Dusk Blue Plaids,” “Variable Star Dawn to Dusk,” “BlueStars,” “Sawtooth Stars,” and “BluePlaids.” When Judy sent this quilt to Julie Kimberlin for quilting, she noted that it was a “low contrast” Dawn to Dusk quilt. Quilt top was finished 6/19/1992 and the quilt was finished in 2003.
