Martingale, the wonderful publisher of my mom’s books, has a blog called “Stitch This” with news about their authors, books, and projects for quilters, knitters, crafters and other folks who like to create things with their hands.

Karen Soltys posted a nice review of 501 Rotary Cut Quilt Blocks, a comprehensive reference for quilters.

I think Mom’s favorite thing about quilting was the mathematics of it – drafting patterns, figuring out how to cut and piece blocks using faster techniques, and most of all, calculating sizes and yardages. 501 Rotary Cut Quilt Blocks is a huge compendium of three previous books and is mom’s most popular and enduring book – still in print today.

Thanks, Karen, for the great post about the book!
